UPS has updated its pickup service policy. As of January 1, 2026, UPS pickup will be a paid additional service, with a fee of €5.50 per pickup.
At the same time, UPS has significantly expanded its Access Point network. Dropping off shipments at UPS Access Point locations remains free of charge, offering many customers an easy and flexible alternative to pickup.
How the Pickup Fee Works in Shipit
The pickup fee is charged per pickup, not per shipment. Multiple shipments can be sent at the same time with a single pickup.
The additional fee is applied:
when creating a pickup request, or
automatically added to the shipment price if pickup is selected through the system
The pickup service fee is €5.50 per pickup.
The change will be implemented in the Shipit system starting January 1, 2026. UPS pickup requests created before this date will follow the current pricing.
